Advertising industry mega power,The One Club, has highlighted a video featuring renowned sound designer and music composer, Diego Stocco, in its online creative showcase. The special promo video called Music from Nature was developed by Burt’s Bees to celebrate Earth Day, and captures Stocco doing what he has become known for– developing incredible music scores often using nothing but his custom built instruments and organic sounds.
Music from Nature by Diego Stocco
“To celebrate Earth Day, we collaborated with composer/genius Diego Stocco to create a one-of-a-kind all-natural musical experience,” says Burt’s Bees on its Youtube Channel. “All the sounds you hear in the piece were created in real-time using instruments provided by Mother Nature herself. No sampling was used. These are the same ingredients used in making the Burt’s Bees products you love to love.”
The One Club is an organization committed to promoting excellence in advertising and design “in all its forms,” and is considered the “world’s foremost non-profit organization devoted to elevating creative work in the industry.”
Stocco’s innovative and cutting edge approach to music making and sound design is no secret. FIDMDigitalArts.com interviewed Stocco about his creative process and theory in our online video series, Take 5 (found here).
Stocco was the music sound designer on films Into the Blue, Crank, and Takers; and TV shows The Tudors and Moonlight and he has worked with pros like Academy Award® winning composer Hans Zimmer. He is one of the featured soloists on the score of Guy Ritchie’s film Sherlock Holmes, and video game Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood.
Stocco’s music graces the silver screen again this month in Warner Bros.’ thriller, Chernobyl Diaries, debuting on Los Angeles on May 25.
