Typography Tuesday: Luca Barcellona’s Amazing Hand-Lettered Type Treatment for D&G, Carhartt and More
Luca Barcellona is a freelance graphic designer known best for his elaborate, hand-lettered calligraphy and typography based in Milan. On his site, (www.lucabarcellona.com), he explains his philosophy, which is to “make the manual skill of an ancient art [of] writing and the languages, and instruments of the digital era, coexist.”
His clients include UK-based retailer Carhartt, Nike, Dolce&Gabbana, Sony BMG, Volvo, and Universal. Most of his work is available through his Flickr account, found here, but we prefer the videos published on his Vimeo account, which demonstrate Barcellona’s amazing process.
