Daily Inspiration: “Slay the Scary Monsters” & Other Awesome Branding from id29

We’ve mentioned upstate New York-based design firm id29 in a previous article (here), the people behind a great poster published in HOW called “29 Things Young Designers Need to Know.” Despite our previous coverage, we can’t help but feature their portfolio site in a daily inspiration post. We love their conceptual thinking behind three posters advertising Mohawk Fine Paper’s 50/10 paper (one shown above), and the logo and branding system for Brown’s Brewing Company (shown in the thumbnails below). You can’t visit their site without checking out their interactive, self-promotional piece Slay the Scary Monsters, a “definitive guide to putting the kibosh on those who dare to stand in the way of creative brilliance.” Incorporating funky comicbook-style graphics, check out Slay the Scary Monsters for your graphic inspiration. For your convenience, we included Slay the Scary Monsters below (click the ‘expand’ button to view full screen). Enjoy… and check out id29’s main site here.
