Design Industry News: T-Shirt Designs that Animate When Viewed Through a Mobile Device

Technology is taking T-Shirt design to a whole new level with images that come to life when viewed through your mobile device.

According to LicenseMag.com,  Zappar and Hybrid Apparel partnered to create the first augmented reality T-shirts, with designs that become animated when viewed through an iPhone or Android device. The “Zapparel” is launching 20 different designs exclusively at the MAGIC tradeshow in Las Vegas.

Zappar is a free app available in iTunes or Android Market Place for the iPhone or Android that allows you to see the animations on Zapparel merchandise. Check out these videos below:

“We are delighted to be involved with Zappar in this ground breaking new venture,” say Jarrod and Gavin Dogan, owners of Hybrid Apparel. “The concept of bringing our clothing range to life with Zappar’s pioneering technology is so exciting, and introduces a whole new dimension to the fashion industry.”
