Typography Geeks: You Must Explore The “The” Project

theproj1Featured in the latest Communication Arts Typography Annual (January/February 2011), The “The” Project offers a vast collection of vintage typographic variations of the word “the.” Gathered from “a private stock of predigital lettering scoured from low resolution archives,” each hand-picked interpretation of “the” has also been converted to bezier outlines by graphic designer Robb Ogle for use by today’s graphic designers “who appreciate the wonky shapes of yesteryear,” he says.
