Stunning Fashion, Scenic and Food Photography by FIDM Graphic Design Students

We are updating our Gallery section with stunning photography captured by students who are earning their Graphic Design degree at FIDM/Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising.

In the Introduction to Digital Photography course, these graphic design students (many of whom have never studied photography before), are challenged to art-direct photo shoots to capture fashion portraits, head shots, travel photography and food photography under the direction of FIDM Instructor Faria Raji in Los Angeles, and Lisa Hoffman in San Francisco.

Students apply these skills to capture photographs that they use in other courses such as Publication Design, a course in which students learn to design a magazine; Applied Branding, in which students develop print and online brand identity materials for an imagined business; and Graphic Design Portfolio, in which students learn to exhibit their combined graphic design skills in a cohesive presentation.

Check out the latest photos captured by FIDM graphic design students below. You may revisit these photo albums, and browse other photos in our Gallery section found here.
