Logo Design Inspiration: Simple and Elegant Animal Logos by Tom Anders Watkins

This morning I stumbled across the work of 19 year old aspiring Art Director Tom Anders Watkins and was immediately drawn into his work. I’m not the only one it seems as Watkins already has over 16,000 followers on Behance, and has earned well over $50,000 on Creative Market, selling products such as Photoshop actions and logo templates. His “188 Actions Ultimate Bundle” was Creative Market’s third highest selling product of 2013.

” I’m 19 year old, half Finnish half English aspiring Art director, currently studying Creative Advertising at the University of Lincoln (UK). I have a vast design portfolio, ranging from custom logotype design and brand work to photo-manipulation and Typography. I like creating things with impact. I try to let my work do the talking. Advertising is the dream, but in the meantime you’ll find me freelancing to pay for my education.” – Watkin’s states.

One of the many projects designed by Watkin’s that caught my attention was a beautifully simplistic series of vector animal logos. Although the function of these pieces aren’t very clear, the clean design atheistic and approach to form are intriguing to me, and hopefully you as well. Below we have compiled a list of some of our favorite animal logos from his portfolio for you to enjoy. We also recommend checking out Watkin’s Behance profile to see more of his work.
