Featured Portfolio: FIDM Graphic Design Grad Behind “365 Days of Illustration” Blog, Julia Walck
Earlier this year, the FIDMDigitalArts.com Blog featured FIDM Graphic Design/Branding Student Julia Walck in a spotlight article because of her passion for illustration. Walck demonstrates her design and art skills in form of a design blog, which stemmed from a personal challenge to publish a unique drawing, painting or graphic design every day for 365 consecutive days.
Skilled in various mediums including watercolor, pencil, India ink, and markers, Walck incorporates her art pieces into her final graphic design portfolio shown below, transforming her illustrations into marketable forms of graphic design such as music packaging and concert posters, apparel graphics, publication design, and product packaging.
Check out another final project that Walck developed for FIDM’s Applied Branding course below. In this course, students develop an entire marketing plan logo for an imagined retail store, including a logo, brand identity system, store signage, outdoor advertising, stationery and other brand marketing elements.
