Motion Mondays: Interactive Video Ad Campaign with Freestyle Snowboarder, Seb Toots

Remember those “choose your own adventure” books you read as a child? Sort of made you feel like you were involved with the plot.

Well, embrace the “choose your own” adventure for the modern age- interactive videos. Motion direction design firm, Onesize developed the motion graphics, animation, interaction and editing for a cutting-edge video campaign, Tested on Animals: The Seb Toots Edition, for Philips/O’Neill that allows its viewer to determine the outcome.

“For the first time ever, you’ll be in the driver’s seat right in the thick of the action, and making the calls at every turn as Toots – one of the top riders on the TTR World Tour – rides down through the park,” states the Onesize creative team on its site.

The interactive video campaign (published below) is a collaboration between Phillips to promote The Bend headphones product, and O’Neill, whose rider, Seb Toots, shows off his freestyle snowboarding skills. As the viewer, you “control” Toots’ actions by selecting which snowboarding trick you want to see as he launches downhill. Studio Takt is the music and sound design firm responsible for the custom track for both the teaser and the YouTube interactive film.

And like the books, you can replay the video to choose a different outcome, of course.
