The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has unveiled a new logo along with other branded elements just in time for 2014 Academy Award® nominees announcement this Thursday, January 16. Designed by graphic design agency 180LA, the new minimalist logo offers lots of clever opportunities when translated to motion graphics– an “A” defined by the silhouette of the Oscar statue in the letter’s negative space.
