Like a Pro: Graphic Design Alumni Share Advice at FIDM’s Annual Career Connections Event

Every year, FIDM/Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising hosts a special networking event called Career Connections, giving current students the opportunity to get advice from FIDM Alumni who are working in the fashion and entertainment industries.

This year, FIDM welcomed alumni from many exciting companies including La Jolla Group, Oakley, Sony Pictures Entertainment, ABC/Disney and the Lifetime Network, Vans, TOMS Shoes, US magazine, and many more.

FIDM Graphic Design Alumni Matthew Mau (Founder/Director), Heather Dubin (Project Manager), Lauren Corallo and Nicole Antonian (Graphic Designers) from Undefeated Creative, Elisabeth Murrary (Vice President of Art Direction/Innovation) from BrandingIron Worldwide, and Angelica Raquid (Graphic Designer) from Cimarron Group represented some of the exciting careers in the branding and entertainment industries in store for those currently earning their graphic design degree.

FIDMDigitalArts.com caught up with Graphic Design Alumni to ask what advice they had for graphic design interns. Here’s what they had to say:
