“Art was my passion from the time I could hold a crayon,” says recent Graphic Design graduate, Lauren Corallo. “It wasn’t until an amazing high school teacher, Dianna Cure, [at Arcadia High School] introduced me to the world of graphic design and all of its creative career possibilities that I knew this is what I want to do for the rest of my life.”
Originally from Phoenix, Arizona, Corallo earned her Graphic Design/Branding Degree from FIDM/Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising this month, presenting her final graphic design portfolio shown below.
During her graphic design studies, Corallo discovered her passion for photography in Digital Photography class, which she was able to apply and incorporate into her portfolio to capture product photos of her work.
While earning her degree, Corallo also worked as an intern at Undefeated Creative, a creative studio founded by FIDM Alumni in downtown Los Angeles. The firm specializes in graphic design, digital media, branding, marketing, e-commerce, photography, and social media management with a focus on the fashion and entertainment industries.
Upon graduation, Corallo was hired as a full time Junior Graphic Designer.
“I love the people, the projects, and the creativity there,” she says.
Citing typography, photography and publication design as her strongest skills, Corallo’s portfolio includes brand marketing and logo design for imagined coffee shop brand, Drip; organic tea packaging for imagined brand, Numi; magazine spreads for imagined music/art/lifestyle publication Spectra; re-interpreted music packaging, poster ads and applied brand marketing for Mutemath; various logo designs; book covers that feature her photography; and applied brand marketing for imagined fashion brand, Yung Originals.
