In addition to designing traditional print marketing and social media graphics as a graphic designer for global ecommerce fashion brand, Justfab, FIDM Graphic Design Alumna Krislam Chin also takes on freelance design work for clients like the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
Seeing all her work published– whether online, in the form of magazines or packaging– Krislam says, is the best part of her job as.
“It brings a huge smile to my face,” she says. “And the endless waffles, let’s not forget about the waffles.”

“There has been a tremendous amount of designers who have started their own brand or have been using Kickstarter to fund their project. It’s exciting to see self-driven and passionate designers being supported by other people who share the same passion! I’m looking forward to seeing more organic-DIY projects.”
