Get to Know this Typography Superstar: Jessica Hische

Jessica Hische is a designer, illustrator and typographer based in Brooklyn, New York who has been commissioned by dozens of clients including: major companies like Victoria’s Secret, Target and Tiffany & Co.; publications like GQ, Glamour, Wired and InStyle; and huge advertising firms like Young & Rubicam and McCann-Erickson. Her elegant hand-lettered style gained major recognition through a side project she started in 2009, a site called Daily Drop Cap where Hische posted an illustrated drop cap (a.k.a. letter) nearly every day for a year. Her work has been profiled by Communication Arts, Grafik Magazine, and Digital Arts Magazine, (to name a few) and she has earned multiple awards by organizations like Print Magazine, Art Director’s Club (Young Guns 7), and multiple design annuals.
