How to Make a Movie: Four Infographics about Animated, Horror and Short Films

Check out these humorous infographics designed by Canal+ that illustrate the film-making process. Although the information presented by the written content and imagery is meant to be a tongue-in-cheek explanation of the creative film-making process, these infographics demonstrate the amount of planning needed to create a film. The message across the bottom of these infographics reads, “Shooting a film isn’t that simple.”

While short film-making is not a “simple” process, the Digital Media program at FIDM/Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising trains students to approach film-making in a different way. Using a synergistic approach to movie-making, FIDM’s Digital Media Students consider post-production factors such as sound, motion graphics and editing when filming short movies.
