For some creatives, the hardest part of the week is getting the creative juices flowing, especially after a long, relaxing weekend. One suggestion we have when you’re not feeling at the top of your creative game is to give your brain a jumpstart through various forms of inspiration. If you are a regular reader of the blog you know how much we love well-executed motion graphics and today is no exception.
We would like to share with you a beautiful stop motion short based on a childhood memory. How to Catch a Bird is the well-executed graduation film created by Vera van Wolferen for her masters in animation. She says, “When I was eight; my dad taught me how to fish. He told me to take the worm off the hook after fishing, but I had no idea why. After fishing I forgot about the worm and left it dangling on the hook. If I only knew then what the consequence of this action would be.” Scroll down to view the film for yourself in addition to a process video that Vera created along the way.
