Entertainment Design Wed: Check out the 54th Annual Grammy Award-Nominated Music Packages

To honor the 54th Annual Grammy Awards airing this Sunday, February 12, we tracked down photos from two of our favorite Grammy categories for Entertainment Design Wednesday. The Best Recording Package and Best Boxed or Special Limited Edition Package categories represent the art directors and graphic designers who demonstrate the highest level of skill, creativity, innovation and attention to detail in the music packaging design industry.

Familiar with these unique Grammy Award categories is art director Kevin Reagan, a three-time Grammy Award winner and a Graphic Design Instructor at FIDM/Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising.

Brand X is one of the courses that students earning their graphic design degree at FIDM study, taught by Reagan who has designed CD packaging design for dozens of musical artists including Madonna, Guns N’ Roses, Bon Jovi, Enrique Iglesias, Nelly Furtado, Deftones, Sonic Youth, and Dixie Chicks.
