If you find yourself in the heart of Hollywood any time soon, be sure to look for FIDM Instructor Graham Moore’s artwork currently on display at Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf near the corner of Sunset Boulevard and Vine Street. The 40″ framed square digital print collages are pieces from Moore’s “Remix” collection– his exploration of classic vinyl album cover art.
Like many of the instructors at FIDM/Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising, Moore is a graphic artist, designer and art director outside of his role as an educator. Using the same cut-and-paste collaging methods that he shares with his students, Moore has developed a series of vinyl album cover art pieces, borrowing from his own personal album collection, that pays homage to musical artists and graphic designers alike.
“I’m passionate about this stuff, and constantly working on it in my free time,” says Moore.
Moore says it’s this passion and curiosity that drove his art– not necessarily the notion that it might be publicly recognized. Though, not surprisingly, it’s rewarding to see his work on display at the international coffee brand’s Hollywood location, he says.
“I never dreamed it would end up in a place like Coffee Bean,” he says. “It’s like hard word come to fruition. One minute you see it in bits and pieces on my kitchen table. The next you see it framed in a coffee shop.”
While in Hollywood, stroll further down Sunset Boulevard to see more of Moore’s artwork on display at the renowned Amoeba Hollywood music store.

“If you’re passionate about something, keep doing it. The more you explore and create, the better it will become,” he says.
