Congratulations to FIDM’s Class of 2014! Check out Graduation Photos & Read Advice from Recent Grads

FIDM/Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising celebrated the graduating class of 2014 on June 21 to a packed crowd of over 20,000 attendees. FIDM Graphic Design and Digital Media Grads joined their fellow classmates from FIDM’s Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego campuses at the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles along with their families, FIDM Staff and industry guests who shared advice and well-wishes as FIDM Grads prepared to embark into their future careers as creative professionals. Guests and industry partners also had the opportunity to congratulate graduates by tweeting and having their tweets displayed on the big screens around the stadium.

Special guests included NRF President and CEO Matthew Shay, who delivered a commencement address that reminded students that “a degree from FIDM is a diploma on one side and a ticket to a great future on the other.”  In addition to the reassurance that career opportunities are endless, he also offered some key pieces of advice and was the first person in FIDM’s history to receive an honorary degree.
