Check out these posters designed by FIDM/Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising Students, Staff and Faculty from the San Francisco campus for The Women’s Conference® 2010. These posters were displayed in the main entrance and other key areas of the Long Beach Convention Center from October 24 through October 26 where tens of thousands of guests attended. FIDM was asked to design “vibrant, original and compelling posters incorporating this year’s Women’s Conference theme of “It’s Time…”
“Hosted by California First Lady Maria Shriver and Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, The Women’s Conference® 2010 is the nation’s premier forum for women, empowering women to be Architects of Change ® in their own lives, their communities and the world. More than 150 extraordinary speakers came together with 30,000 women to be educated, inspired and empowered. The Women’s Conference is also a global online community, where more than one million women gather to learn how to truly change the world.” (www.womensconference.org)
This is the second time that FIDM/San Francisco has partnered with The California Governor and First Lady’s Conference to design posters. In March, FIDM Students designed posters that celebrated National Women’s History Month at the California Museum for History, Women and the Arts.
The Women’s Conference extended thanks to the following FIDM representatives:
Barbara Cupper, Director of FIDM San Francisco Campus
Lisa Hoffman, Graphic Design Department Coordinator, FIDM San Francisco
