Featured Design Contest: AIGA Presents the (Re)Design Awards (Deadline July 22)

The AIGA (professional association for design) has launched the (Re)Design Awards 11,  a design contest that is focused around the topic of sustainability/social responsibility. Check out the details below:

Deadline: July 22,2011


  • AIGA members: $45 per single entry/$65 per series
  • Non-members: $60 per single entry/$85 per series
  • Student AIGA members: $30 per single entry/$50 per series
  • Student non-members: $45 per single entry/$65 per series

Who is Eligible?

All designers and creative professionals, art and design students, educators, and business and/or organizations of design throughout the world are encouraged to enter. Entrants need not be members of AIGA. All design work entered in the competition should communicate the importance of social responsibility or sustainability for our planet. The AIGA is looking for excellence in design solutions that actively engage in enriching our lives. This could be, for example, raising awareness about a cause or condition, celebrating an arts institution or event, or even harnessing innovations in production and materials that are better for our environment.

What Work is Eligible?

Work produced or published between August 1, 2009 and June 15, 2011.
Any of the following types of design work are eligible:

* Brand Identity
* Publication Design
* Package Design
* Self-promotion
* Print Collateral
* Advertising
* Environmental Design
* Product Design
* Multimedia
* Student Work
