“Because the digital world moves too fast for a once-a-year deadline, One Show Interactive features a unique quarterly entry system. Each quarter, entries will be chosen to move on to the final round of judging where Pencil winners will be determined. Quarterly winners are assured placement in the One Show Interactive annual. Built around six basic media types, the below categories have been updated to be more flexible and easier to use.

This year’s show features expanded broadcast design and spatial design categories to reflect the changing media landscape.”

“One Show Entertainment is the longest running award show of its kind to exclusively recognize the intersection between brands and entertainment. With a diverse jury from the entertainment, production and advertising industries.

Beyond traditional product placement, One Show Entertainment honors the strategy and creative thought process that inspires today’s riveting brand messages, while producing content that is genuinely entertaining.

One Show Entertainment garners entries from around the world in film, television, music and gaming to award innovation and creativity in this rapidly expanding arena. Finalists compete for Gold, Silver and Bronze Pencils.

The 2012 One Show Entertainment is now further recognizing brand strategy in the Entertainment world by including new categories including: Title sequences, Television, film and gaming promos. One Show Entertainment will be held in Los Angeles in June, 2012.”

2012 Young Ones Competition:

Young Ones One Show Design Competition

Design students-  there is a competition for you, too. “One of the most acclaimed advertising, interactive and design student competitions is the annual One Show Young Ones Competition, a tradition dating back to 2005. Cash prizes are awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze Pencil winning teams, respectively. The Pencil winners are awarded at the annual One Show Education Festival awards ceremony and finalists are published in the One Show Annual. The finalist works will also be exhibited as part of the One Show Traveling Exhibition in many U.S. and international cities.
