Like many of the instructors at FIDM/Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising, Graphic Design Instructor Graham Moore is a graphic artist, designer and art director outside of his role as an educator.
Moore encourages students who are earning their Graphic Design Degree at FIDM to use traditional hand-crafted design techniques to learn the basic principles and elements of design.
Using the same cut-and-paste collaging methods that he shares with his students, Moore has developed a series of vinyl album cover art pieces, borrowing from his own personal album collection, that pays homage to musical artists and graphic designers alike.
Five pieces from Moore’s vintage album artwork will be on display at an upcoming art exhibit at the La Luz de Jesus Gallery with an opening reception being held this Friday, March 2. Check out details below:

Description: “La Luz De Jesus Gallery proudly rebrands our annual juried group exhibition, Laluzapalooza. This gigantic, no-theme show features works from some of the freshest and most relevant artists working today. Over 9,000 submissions from commercial illustrators, graphic designers, tattooists, scenics, students, animators and working gallery artists had to be sorted-through, and we’ve finally narrowed it down to 125 or so artists. The official piece count is awaiting verification, but you can bet that it will be another (tastefully) jam-packed, salon-style exhibition.”
