Don’t Miss it: Website Recommendations from the Webby Awards

If you’re looking for design inspiration, especially for Website design and motion graphics, it’s worth your time to browse the awards galleries section of the  Webby Awards Website. “Established in 1996 during the Web’s infancy, the Webby Awards or ‘Webbys’ are presented by The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, including an executive 750-member body of leading Web experts, business figures, luminaries, visionaries and creative celebrities, and Associate Members who are former Webby Award Winners and Nominees and other Internet professionals.” Every year, the Webbys honor Internet Websites, Interactive Advertising, Online Film & Video and Mobile in various categories to basically recognize the coolest and most effective campaigns on the Web. For the 14th Annual Webby Awards in 2009, nearly 10,000 entries came from more than 60 countries and all 50 states in the U.S. in the hopes of being recognized.

As a designer, it’s great to browse the winners galleries, dating back to 2007, which provide links to all of the Websites have been Webby Award winners and nominees.
