Design a Fall Inspired Wallpaper for November’s Desktop Wallpaper Challenge

When is the last time you designed something simply for the fun of it? In order to keep a roof over your head and bread on your table, it’s easy to get sucked into client work day after day where creativity is somewhat restricted. It’s important for creatives to express ourselves freely while still exercising our ability to design. Throw design restrictions out the window, have fun, and inspire others by participating in FIDM Digital Arts’ Monthly Desktop Wallpaper Design Challenge. 

The challenge itself is simple. Join current FIDM/Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising Students, FIDM Grads, and fellow readers of this blog in designing a creative desktop wallpaper based on a piece of inspiration. These wallpapers will then be featured at the end of each month in an article where they will be available to download for free. When Is The Deadline?

November 28th 2014. The deadline for submitting wallpapers is 3 days before the end of the month.

What Do We Expect?

Following the guidelines outlined above is the best way to ensure your work will be featured. Please consider that not every wallpaper will be published as we’ll analyze each design individually to make sure directions were followed and content is appropriate. The wallpapers are published and are available for download in the first week of each month. We respect the ideas and motivation behind each and every participant and their work which is why we give you the full freedom to explore your creativity. We can’t wait to see what you come up with!
