Desktop Wallpaper Challenge: January 2015 Submitted Wallpapers Unveiled

Last year we launched the monthly Desktop Wallpaper Challenge, which challenges you to design a desktop wallpaper around a given theme or piece of inspiration. Why? Creatives turn to various places for inspiration and one of the strongest, most common places to house inspiration is right on a computer’s desktop.

January’s challenge was to design a creative desktop wallpaper using FIDM/Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising Grad Patrick Lee’s art (seen below) as a source of inspiration. Patrick says, “As an aspiring artist and designer, I always feel that an inspiring design & art should be like a kaleidoscope. I want viewers to have a completely fresh experience every time they view my design, while reflecting on a moment back in their life. I created this design collection when I was applying to FIDM. This collection is titled: Life Kaleidoscope as it is originally inspired by different moments in my life. It’s a mixture of digital art, fine art, and photography.”
