Daily Inspiration: Movie Posters & Campaigns Designed by FIDM Graphic/Entertainment Students

Check out some great movie posters and movie marketing materials designed by students earning their Graphic Design/Entertainment degree at FIDM/Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising.

The first project below was designed by FIDM Graphic Design/Entertainment Student, Jessica Threde. She developed imagined key art for Warner Bros.’ film, J. Edgar, based on the life of  J. Edgar Hoover starring J Edgar movie poster key art designed by Bill GoldLeonardo DiCaprio. While the film’s official key art designed by movie poster designer, Bill Gold, communicates a serious, gritty vibe with a vintage finish that is effectively captivating (shown right), Threde approached the film’s campaign differently in FIDM’s Specialty Design course. Below, check out Threde’s designs for an imagined campaign for J. Edgar including a billboard ad, movie posters, specialty DVD packaging and more.

Also below, check out imagined movie Website designs developed by FIDM Graphic Design/Entertainment Student, “Kenzi” Hyunjun Gong. In FIDM’s Photo Rendering course, Gong designed all of the visual elements in mock Websites for the films Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Captain America and Step Up 3D.

Students in the Graphic Design/Entertainment program at FIDM study the components and techniques of a successful entertainment campaign using extensive research to create and develop theatrical key art for the entertainment industry. To learn more, click here.
