Daily Inspiration: Animated Commercials by Design Agency “Buck” for Mountain Dew, Google

Based in Los Angeles and New York, Buck specializes in animation, visual effects and live action, collaborating with clients like Google, Nike, and Gatorade to produce work that is “visceral, innovative, and diverse.”

BuckThe commercials developed by Buck’s team will convince you that painting with Sherwin Williams is a whimsical experience, make you feel a nostalgic appreciation for Mountain Dew, and entice a non-enthusiast to become an NBA fan. Check out clips from the agency’s online portfolio below, and browse the full portfolio here.

Sherwin Williams Paints

Brief: “Poppy Flower, Poinsettia, Stolen Kiss, Electric Lime. For our second spot in the Sherwin Williams paint chip campaign, which premiered to 23 million viewers in the American Idol finale, we turn our lens on a colony of busy bees out for a sun-drenched, afternoon adventure.”

Mountain Dew

Brief: “As part of Mountain Dew’s new logo launch, the brand team at Pepsi asked us to conceive, direct and produce a short animation exploring the evolution of the Dew Brand. We decided to take a walk through history (packed with historical taglines), starting with Dew’s country roots as a moonshine mixer and getting progressively more urban as we move to modern times. And all in 15 seconds!”
