We are excited to see that Cut&Paste, the global digital design competition known for its lively onstage battles and reputation-making performances, is kicking off its 2011-2012 tour this weekend in New York City.
Get ready, Los Angeles! Cut&Paste will be in LA in February, 2012 and is seeking Los Angeles’ most talented “street artists, filmmakers, and 3D modelers to battle for the top crown.” Read more about the selection process and how to apply to participate in Cut&Paste as a design competitor here.

Description: The evening event features a live design competition of 16 designers “duking it out” in 2D, 3D and motion/animation design to claim their place at the 2012 Cut&Paste Global Championship in NYC, where one winner in each field will be crowned the victor. Cut&Paste is a design battle royale that launches designers into the spotlight and offers spectators a front row seat into the creative process. Complete with slick beats from DJ Ayres and an open bar from 7:00-8:00 p.m., the event will also feature an ongoing canvas art battle, courtesy of UK-based Secret Wars.
