Cipe Pineles (1908 – 1991) is considered one of the most important and ground-breaking publication designers of the 20th Century as one of the first female art directors of major fashion magazines such as Vogue, Vanity Fair, Seventeen, Glamour and Charm. She truly paved the way for women entering the design industry, and helped to define the style and qualities that make up magazine/editorial design today.
