To pinpoint the hot color trends for spring 2016, we looked to leading trend forecast company WGSN, as well as Pantone–the world’s authority on color trends– to research which colors would dominate our fashion, interior and graphic design this fall.

“Colors this season transport us to a happier, sunnier place where we feel free to express a wittier version of our real selves,” says Leatrice Eiseman Executive Director, Pantone Color Institute™ in their “Spring 2016: A Transporting and Transformative Canvas” report.

“Influenced by the world of art, new global doors opening and the desire to disconnect from technology and unwind, designers this season have gravitated toward a palette that is first and foremost calming. Paying homage to the beauty of natural resources, colors emerging in the Spring collections serve as vehicles that transport wearers to more tranquil, mindful environs which encourage relaxation first, followed by curiosity and exploration.”

Spring 2016 color trends include the Pantone 2016 Colors of the Year Serenity and Rose Quartz, with bold contrasting splashes of bold Green Flash, Fiesta Red and Snorkel Blue.

The Spring 2016 Fashion Color Report by Pantone predicts the following:

  • Rose Quartz
  • Peach Echo
  • Serenity
  • Snorkel Blue
  • Buttercup
  • Limpet Shell
  • Lilac Gray
  • Fiesta
  • Iced Coffee
  • Green Flash
